Solar Inverters
The brain of your solar system. We specify high-performance inverters to efficiently convert, manage, and monitor your energy flow, ensuring maximum yield from your panels.

More than just a converter.
The inverter dictates how efficiently your system runs, how well it integrates with batteries, and how much visibility you have over your generation.
What does an inverter actually do?
While solar panels generate the electricity, the inverter is responsible for making that electricity usable, safe, and efficient for your property.
Power Conversion
Solar panels generate Direct Current (DC) electricity. Your home and the national grid run on Alternating Current (AC). The inverter's primary job is translating DC to AC with minimal energy loss.
Energy Management
Modern inverters act as the brain of the system, deciding whether to send generated power to your home appliances, charge your battery system, or export the surplus to the grid.
System Monitoring
The inverter tracks generation data, consumption patterns, and system health, feeding this information to an app or portal so you can see exactly how your system is performing in real-time.
Matching the right technology to your project.
There is no single "best" inverter. The right choice depends on whether you have batteries, if your roof suffers from shading, and your budget.

String Inverters
The traditional approach. Panels are wired together in a "string" and feed into a central inverter. Highly reliable and cost-effective, ideal for unshaded roofs with simple layouts.
- Cost-effective
- Proven reliability

Hybrid Inverters
Combines a solar inverter and a battery inverter into one unit. Essential if you are installing battery storage at the same time as your panels, offering seamless energy management.
- Battery compatible
- Efficient DC coupling

Microinverters
Small inverters attached to the back of each individual panel. They convert DC to AC right on the roof. Perfect for complex roofs or areas affected by partial shading throughout the day.
- Shade tolerant
- Panel-level monitoring
What we look for in an inverter
Not all inverters are built to the same standard. When Absolute Solar Panels specifies an inverter for your project, we evaluate several critical factors to ensure long-term performance.
Efficiency Ratings
A high-quality inverter will have an efficiency rating of 97% or higher, meaning very little power is lost during the DC to AC conversion process.
Warranty & Support
Inverters typically work harder than panels. We prioritise manufacturers who offer robust warranties (standard 5-10 years, often extendable) and have a strong UK support presence.
Sizing & Clipping
We carefully match the inverter capacity to your panel array. Slight "oversizing" of the panel array relative to the inverter is normal design practice to maximise yield in typical UK weather conditions.
