Why Choose an Air Source Heat Pump?

The main advantage of air source heat pumps and boilers is that they safeguard homeowners against fluctuations in energy prices. Heat pumps use the environment to generate 75% of the heating and hot water needs for your home, meaning that you’re significantly less reliant on electricity to keep your home toasty, and you’re much less vulnerable to the ever-rising costs of heating in your home.

At Vaillant, we are proud to manufacture a range of high-quality air source heat pumps for every home. Browse the range below to learn more, and view each range in full, or read our heat pump guide if you want to learn more about how heat pumps work.

The aroTHERM plus air-to-water heat pump

Environmentally friendly and future-proof

1. Future-proof thanks to the most cutting-edge heat pump technology with natural refrigerant, reducing your carbon footprint
2. High energy efficiency class
3. Very quiet operation – can even be used in densely built-up terraced housing estates

Heat pump technology that uses the air outside

The pump harnesses naturally renewable resources, so it can save money on your fuel bills and reduce your carbon footprint.

Homeowners can benefit from a range of warranties of up to 7 years parts and labour when installed by a renewable partner

There are four sizes of heat output available, so it’s a good solution for most kinds of property.

The new air-to–water heat pump combines great performance, energy efficiency and sustainability, with an energy efficiency class of A+++.

In combination with the uniTOWER, the aroTHERM plus offers the best convenience for hot water – for long showers and rain shower heads.

Alternative indoor units are available such as the hydraulic station and heat pump interface, for full system flexibility.

Equipped with the latest heat pump technology

The aroTHERM plus combines heating and hot water in a single solution. It is also equipped with the latest heat pump technology. The natural refrigerant used enables above-average performance; at the same time it has a particularly low global warming potential, which makes aroTHERM plus extremely eco-friendly.

Compact and super quiet

Great performance does not require a lot of space. The uniTOWER indoor unit is only about the size of a freezer and fits into a utility room. The outdoor aroTHERM plus unit also has impressively compact dimensions.

With sound power as low as 54dB(A) the aroTHERM plus 3.5, 5, 7 and 12 kWoutputs have been accredited with the Quiet Mark. This system can thus be flexibly positioned, even in densely populated terraced housing estates – without any negative effects for your neighbours.

Ideal for retro-fit and new buildings

The aroTHERM plus is not just the perfect solution for new buildings, because it provides an outstanding hot water supply. It can also be used in existing buildings as an alternative to your current heating system.

Vaillant’s aroTHERM plus is one of the greenest heat pumps available on the market and is designed to exceed the heating requirements of today. The aroTHERM plus uses a natural refrigerant which has an exceptionally low global warming potential of just 3.

The Quiet Mark awarded aroTHERM plus heat pump range is available in 3.5kW, 5kW, 7kW and 12kW outputs, making it suitable for most domestic properties and can be cascaded for commercial use.

Without compromising on performance, the aroTHERM plus can provide up to 25% more usable hot water and can reach flow temperatures up to 75°C, removing the need for an electric immersion heater for legionella protection.
The achieved or achievable energy savings depend on various factors (e.g. local electricity prices, previous model, heating setting, use, location, outdoor temperature) and may thus vary.
